Clucking hell

Last Summer (when we actually had a day of sun!) I shot some footage of the latest arrival to our household, three lovely hens that promptly took over the bottom of our garden. Still going strong and laying lovely eggs on a daily basis I have finally got round to making something out of the footage.

We had a very busy autumn with lots of video products, including a trip to Switzerland to shoot an internal corporate video (sadly we cant show you the results here!)

Here are some other videos we produced, starting with an ident for the 2012 Bath Film Festival. If you visited the festival you may have caught this videos at the start of some of the films.

Next up was a video for Prezola which gave customers 90 second tour of their wedding gift list service.

Finally we edited a couple of videos for local musician Will Lawton. Happily it coincided with the install of some new colour grading software which allowed us to have a play around with the grading.

A well made time-lapse video can be a truly stunning thing and this technique has produced some of the most amazing footage you are likely to see.

It is something I am dipping my toe into at the moment and its very satisfying when the results work (ie something happens)

I could attempt to explain the science behind it but the excellent Photojojo does a far better job.

At the other end of the spectrum to my initials attempts, here are some simply mind blowing time-lapse’s by some excellent filmmakers.

The patience, planning and skill involved blows my mind!

Welcome to the the new website of the artist formely known as Kingmonkey Media. I have decided to start trading under my name to put a bit more of “me” into the business…. new logo, new site, same great video.

Please take a bit of time to have a look around the new site, I am particularly pleased with the new Lifestyle video section.
